Fall means festival season so get set for incredible art, music, and food during your San Diego fall vacation. The exciting lineup of fun festivals makes for a great way to celebrate the season.
Pacific Beachfest
This free festival – yes, we said FREE – sets up along the Pacific Beach boardwalk from Felspar to Thomas Street on Oct. 5. Activities kick off with the 5K Early Wave at 8:30 a.m. and continue with the beach volleyball tournament, then the live music and fish taco contest starts at 11 a.m. Other activities include a Beer Garden and the Kids Action Alley with rides, games and crafts. Stay in our gorgeous three-level townhome in the heart of North Pacific Beach that sleeps eight. It’s located just three blocks from the beach.
La Jolla Art & Wine Fest
Also, a free event, the La Jolla Art & Wine Fest takes place Oct. 12-13 on Girard Avenue. The event offers 150 handpicked artists booths, global wineries, and brew and spirit-masters. Enjoy a refreshing drink from any of the wineries, craft breweries and distilleries while listening to non-stop live music. Save room for the delicious food, including crepes, gumbo, kettle corn and everything in between. Bring some friends and book the Windansea Beach House walking distance to The Village of La Jolla and the beach.
Fallback Festival Gaslamp Quarter
On Nov. 3, travel back in town to the Old West as the 19th Fall Back Festival, a Children’s Historical Street Faire, takes place in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. This free event includes interactive activities and demonstrations in front of the Davis Horton House throughout the afternoon.
San Diego Ramen Festival
That’s right. San Diego even has a festival to celebrate everyone’s favorite quick-cooking noodles. Go Ramen crazy at the second annual festival on Thursday, Nov. 14 at Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier. Enjoy various styles of ramen noodles from a variety of vendors with a general admission ticket. Entertainment includes Japanese music and dance.
Wonderfront Festival
Catch an incredible lineup of emerging and established artists at the Wonderfront Festival on Nov. 22-24 at multiple venues including Embarcadero Marina Park South, Embarcadero Marina Park North, Seaport Village, Ruocco Park, Hilton Bayfront Park, and Broadway Port Pier. Appearances at various stages this year include Michael Franti Y Spearhead, Walk the Moon, Rob Machado & Friends, Ben Harper, Moon Taxi and dozens of other acts. In addition to the music, there’s a giant craft beer village, after parties in the Gaslamp Quarter, yacht parties and more.
